48 Hours in Lincoln City: How to Make the Most of Your Sea Gypsy Stay

Only have the weekend to soak up the Oregon Coast? Perfect. Whether you’re escaping the city, recharging by the waves, or just testing the oceanfront life, Sea Gypsy Rentals puts you in the heart of Lincoln City with the beach quite literally at your doorstep.

Here’s how to make the most of 48 salty, sandy, sea-breezy hours.

Day One: Arrival in Lincoln City

4:00 PM – Arrival and instant beach mode

Drop your bags and open the sliding glass door from your ground floor unit—or gaze out the window at the beautiful ocean view from the 2nd or 3rd floor. Take a minute to breathe it all in. You’ve officially entered vacation mode. Don’t rush it.

5:00 PM – Beach walk therapy

Once you’ve settled in, take a refreshing walk on the beach. Whether the tide’s out or crashing close, the beach in front of the Sea Gypsy is the ideal spot to shake off the drive and stretch your legs. Look for agates, driftwood, and your inner peace.

6:00 PM – Dinner with a view

Walk or drive to Kyllo’s Seafood & Grill, just up the street. It’s a Lincoln City staple with fresh seafood and ocean views. Pro tip: Grab a table near the window and order the clam chowder.

8:00 PM – Relax and watch the night sky

Back at your unit, snag a blanket and see what the sky’s up to. Some nights on the Oregon Coast bring jaw-dropping sunsets, others… a whole lot of gray. Either way, the sound of the waves still delivers.

Day Two: Explore Lincoln City

8:00 AM – Coffee & waves

Brew a cup in your unit or walk to a local cafe for something stronger. We’ve got a full list of recommendations here!

9:00 AM – Hit the beach or trails around Lincoln City

Low tide? Go tide-pooling at Road’s End or look for hidden glass floats on the beach (Lincoln City hides them year-round). Feeling energized? Hike God’s Thumb for sweeping views—and bragging rights.

12:00 PM – Lunch like a local

We’ve got lots of great lunch options in Lincoln City. If you want some quick and simple, try a delicious custom sandwich from The Sea Gulp (just minutes away from Sea Gypsy), head to The Pines Dine to take your pick from multiple food trucks, or opt for a more upscale lunch at staples such as Taste of India or Side Door Cafe

2:00 PM – Rain or shine plans

If it’s sunny, rent a kayak from Safari Town Surf, or check out Devil’s Lake. If the weather turns moody (because Oregon), wander through Prehistoric, a funky fossil and rock shop, or duck into local art galleries like Freed Gallery.

4:00 PM – Pool & sauna reset

Head back to Sea Gypsy and treat yourself to a little indoor R&R. Take a dip in our heated pool or unwind in the sauna—it’s the perfect way to recharge before dinner and settle into that deep vacation calm.

6:00 PM – Casual dinner & drinks

Keep it easy for dinner. Grab takeout from Thai Bay Restaurant, Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant, or Highway 101 Burger. Watch the waves roll in while you dine in your oceanfront living room.

8:00 PM – Cozy movie night in

Wrap up your day with a low-key evening. Watch a movie from the comfort of your oceanfront living room—windows open, waves as your soundtrack. Pajamas encouraged. Bonus points for popcorn and something sweet.

Day Three: Head home from Lincoln City

8:00 AM – One last stroll

There’s something bittersweet about that last beach walk. Go barefoot, take photos, pick up a shell, and soak it in before packing up.

11:00 AM – Checkout (Reluctantly)

When you’re ready, just pack up and head out—but take the memories with you. Lincoln City has a way of pulling people back—and we’ll be here when it does.
