Lincoln City Kite Festival (Summer and Fall)
The Lincoln City Kite Festival is held every year in June and September, right on the beach at D River State Recreation Site. This famous two-day event brings in thousands of people to see kites of all shapes and sizes soaring in the sky. The event includes kite-making workshops, performances from professional kite fliers, an art kite display, and even carnival games that the whole family can enjoy.

Whale watching weeks
There’s a little something to enjoy year-round for whale watchers. You can often catch them off-shore migrating north during the spring, south during the winter, and resident whales during the summer. Bring a pair of binoculars so you can spot them from afar!

King tides
When the Earth, moon, and sun align, we get the highest tides of the year, better known as “King Tides”. It’s the perfect time to capture ocean photography and also watch huge, crashing waves safely from your window.
