D River State Recreation Site
Why walk over to D River State Recreation Site when you have easy access to the beach right here at Sea Gypsy? Well, we’ll tell you. This popular state park is where you can find the D River–one of the shortest rivers in the world–flowing right out to the sea. Plus, it’s a hot spot for beach activities like flying kites and beachcombing. In fact, you won’t want to miss the famous Kite Festival that takes place here every June and September.

Roads End Recreation Area
Venture out a little further to Roads End and you’ll find a long stretch of sandy beach that makes for a great day walk. This picturesque beach is popular for its tide pools, as well as a hidden cove that you can explore.

Taft Waterfront Park
Head south on Highway 101 for about ten minutes and you’ll certainly want to stop by this park on Siletz Bay. This peaceful waterfront park is one of Lincoln City’s wheelchair-accessible beaches, with provided beach mats that lead down to the shore. The sandy beach is also full of driftwood and local birds roaming about.
