The Space

Waves of our Lives is the Sea Gypsy's newest premier groundfloor vacation rental. It is located at the south end of our landmark facility near the D River, allowing us to call it both a beachfront and riverfront condo. Take a step away from your stressful lives relax with Waves of our Lives.

This condo sleeps up to four people with a brand new, super comfy king bed in the master bedroom, and a pullout sofa in the oceanfront suite. Every inch of this condo has been remodeled. The entire unit is covered with pergo floor or tile for a nice and clean feel.

The full kitchen has been totally remodeled, with new tile countertops and stunning pendant lighting which can be dimmed to fit the mood. Even the refrigerator is an upgrade when compared to other Sea Gypsy condos.

The bathrooms have the same gorgeous tile that the kitchen displays and they also have wonderful vanity tops with drawers and cupboards to put away personal belongings during your stay.

There is a table situated by the sliding glass door where you can play games while watching the ocean. Look south and you have one of the best views of the D River, where you can catch migrating salmon certain times of the years. On the right day, you'll catch the bald eagle stalking them.

When you stay at this condo, all of your stresses will fade away and you will realize, these are the waves of our lives ...

"Over the last 27-30 years, I have stayed in almost every ground unit at Sea Gypsy. This one is by far the cleanest we have had so far. There are a lot of extra things that this unit supplies, such as nice chairs for the beach, more towels than we usually get, more toilet paper accessible than we normally have. Lots of extra storage in the bathrooms, and I love that the cleaning supplies are not locked up so we were able to clean as sand and dirt were coming in with our foot traffic. My husband was sad that the chair in the living room did not recline, but I told him he can live without a recliner for a few nights lol! We enjoyed our stay in this room and it will definitely be a room that we choose again!

"This is my go to place for enjoying time at the beach. The units at Sea Gypsy are so pleasant, comfortable, well stocked, and Waves of Our Lives met the test. A relaxing week watching those waves on the ocean was just what I was looking for.

"This was my first time in Waves of Our Lives, but my third time at Sea Gypsy. Overall, the maintenance and cleaning services of all the facilities are really well done, and the comings and goings are super-easy with the keyless locks!.I especially love the accessibility to the beach with the sliding doors on the main floor. Specific to Rm 127, I was really pleased with the aesethics of the rooms - they are furnished in a way you that is inviting and makes you feel like a valued guest (it does not in any way feel like the "seconds" were thrown into a guest house.) Great care was taken to outfit the rooms and supply them with everything that is needed, and with comfort in mind for sure. I would definitely choose this room again!

"Every two years we fly to Oregon from Texas to spend time with my sister, my children, and my six grandchildren. This is my fourth time staying at Sea Gypsy. I prefer room 127 as it is farther from the pool and the entrance to the beach. Neighbor is only on one side, and that is across the walkway. Really quiet for us, and when all the family gather in my unit, we are not too noisy. All family members also stay in a unit at Sea Gypsy and we have a great time with the pool and beach. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again in Spring of 2026. Thank you,

"Last month my kids and I came out and stayed at the Sea Gypsy. My husband had to work and couldn't make it. We had a truly wonderful time. The weather was perfect and we did all sorts of fun things. We came home and must have impressed my husband, because 6 weeks later, we came back,just him and me. We had a wonderful time. The ocean was so calm and blue for a couple of days and then it started to rain, so it churned things up a bit and the waves were so beautiful. We stayed in room 127, which was just a few steps away from the stairs to the beach. I went down a couple of times and it was really nice. We did a few touristy things but mostly just stayed in the room and relaxed and enjoyed the ocean. We hated to leave. That was the worst part of vacation. But we will be back and we will be staying at the Sea Gypsy. Thank you for a wonderful time.

"The room was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. There were plenty of linens for the bathroom and bedding. We appreciated the puzzles. The only weird thing was that the TV in the living room came on in the middle of the night on the first night and the next day it proceeded to turn itself on and off and change the channels at will. But the rest of the week the TV was fine. we enjoyed the unit.

"Loved the accommodations! I had not anticipated how much the chain link fence would interrupt the view of the surf. And not so fond of the flood lights shining on the beach at night.But.... the condo had everything we needed. Even the laundry facilities were reasonable and clean. The bed was comfortable, the television was nice with cable and the condo kitchen was well equipped. Might suggest a new veggie peeler as the one provided did not peal. The toilet seat in the bathroom near the kitchen was busted when we arrived. Able to use it but probably best to replace soon. We ate at the Tidal Rave in Depoe Bay and had a lovely meal and experience there. Barnacle Bills Fish shop provided wonderful, fresh clams for our favorite cook at home clam meal. We will consider Sea Gypsy when we are back in the area.

"We always love staying at the Sea Gypsy. This room is lovely but not quite as comfortable for us as one of the other rooms. The only maintenance issue we noticed was that the light on the microwave was burned out (the one that lights up the stove top). Hopefully we will be back to the Sea Gypsy in May.

"Sea Gypsy was recommended to us by a family. We had business to take care of. I saw the easy access to the beach and sent my husband on his way.I sat in the comfy chair, opened the sliding door and watched the ocean play! I walked the beach and completely de stressed. My husband returned, de stressed and said can we have a place like this! The staff and other quests were great! They gave suggestions of places to eat: Wildflower Cottage, breakfast yum!, Moe's and Sea Hag in Depot Bay. We will be sharing our stay and returning soon.
